Do not be envious of evil men.

Proverbs 24:1-2, Do not be envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them; for their minds devise violence, and their lips talk of trouble.

There are those who seem to succeed despite their evil motives. Pilate seemed to have the power of life or death over Jesus; Jesus clearly told him that he had no power except what was given to him by His Father. What seemed to be the ultimate evil of the cross has provided redemption for all who will come to Him. We know that He is in control no matter what happens!

Lord, we thank You that You are in control.
