Proverbs 17:9-10, He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates intimate friends. A rebuke goes deeper into one who has understanding than a hundred blows into a fool.

It’s easy to think of a list of transgressions that I would not want to reveal to others. As I bring them before the cross and His throne of grace, I know that I can receive mercy. How much more do we owe this to others? Am I ready to intercede for them rather than engage in cheap gossip about their struggles?

Give me Your grace to intercede for others who need Your healing and cleansing touch, O Lord!
