Be imitators of God.

Ephesians 5:1-2, Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

Christ has forgiven us much; we who are forgiven are to be kind to others who have not seen His light yet. We are to love one another, even our enemies, and to imitate Him. I know that in my own strength, this is more than difficult; it is impossible. I need His wisdom, guidance, protection and strength every day to overcome temptation and to grow in Him. The idea of sacrifice is not honored much in our culture; yet He is the One who became sin for us, offering Himself as the perfect, one-time sacrifice for all on the cross, that we might become the righteousness of God.

Show us Your Way today in sacrifice to bring glory to Your Holy name, O Lord!
