He who is without sin among you.
John 8:7, But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”
The blindness of sin is real, and the prayer that Jesus prayed from the cross shows me my own true condition: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Part of my condition is that I can so easily see a fault in others and turn a blind eye to my own sin. And in so condemning, I may miss out on the real opportunity that I have to intercede with the Father for someone else who is caught up in sin. Can I also ask that He shine His light into the next dark place that He wants to deal with in my own heart?
Shine Your light into that place in my own heart that need Your touch; help me to forgive as I have been forgiven, for like sheep without a shepherd, “they know not what they do.”
