According to His mercy.
Titus 3:1-8, Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be uncontentious, gentle, showing every consideration for all men. For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to engage in good deeds.
Man’s religions shout out the need to get better in order to find ourselves or to find ultimate truth. The Gospel of Jesus Christ reveals to us that our best day of righteous good deeds means nothing in the presence of the living, almighty, all powerful Holy Lord God. Instead, His kindness has given us our Savior Jesus Christ, whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light. In an instant we are justified by His amazing grace, and He promises to help us to lay aside our foolish actions to be used by Him in every good deed that He has planned for us since the beginning of time!
Use me in every good deed You have planned for me today, that others may come to know You!
