Be zealous therefore, and repent.
Revelation 3:19-20, “‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.’”
It’s kind of strange that Revelation 3:20 is often used out of context as an invitation to unbelievers. Jesus was referring to those believers who are neither hot nor cold, perhaps an apt description for our day. Perhaps too many have heard that coming to Jesus means and end to earthly problems and material abundance?
We want to be zealous for You, O Lord; we hear Your voice and open the door!
