Encourage one another.

1 Thessalonians 5:8-11, But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another, and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

We all need encouragement in overcoming the darkness. Some days it seems like the enemy is winning on all fronts; we have to remember that even that which is intended for evil, as Joseph learned, God uses to accomplish His purpose. That’s never a justification for evil, just the hope that we have that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and who are called according to His purpose! Who might I be able to encourage today? Am I willing let others know about my needs and to accept encouragement?

Give us someone to encourage today; let us be willing to share our needs with others to receive encouragement, and so much more as we see the Day of the Lord approaching!
