The Lord is not slow about His promise.

2 Peter 3:10, The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Many times people who are not believers will ask why God allows evil in the world. What they don't realize is that scripture is very clear: "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Without His precious sanctifying blood of the Lamb, we have absolutely no hope of approaching a Holy God. What people really mean when they ask this question is why doesn't God punish their perceived evil right now. Indeed, He will punish evil one day with fire and the destruction of ungodly men. Why not accept His marvelous gift of salvation in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ who has taken the punishment that all deserve to the cross once and for all eternity?
