The Lord is near to all who call upon Him.
Psalm 145:18-19, The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them.
On a recent trip, while visiting with one of our friends from last year, I mentioned to her that reading the Bible is much more meaningful if one takes a moment to ask God to reveal Himself in the scripture. She was shocked, and said “You mean I can ask the God and He will hear me?” I assured here that scripture is clear, that He reveals Himself to those who seek Him with a sincere heart. “Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.” “For without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” “If perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.”
We thank You that You have revealed Yourself, for we could never have found You on our own!
