I will sing praises.

Psalm 108:1-6, My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul. Awake, harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn! I will give thanks to Thee, O LORD, among the peoples; and I will sing praises to Thee among the nations. For Thy lovingkindness is great above the heavens; and Thy truth reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and Thy glory above all the earth. That Thy beloved may be delivered, save with Thy right hand, and answer me!

I was recently in a place where I could not openly express praise. I was able to quietly praise Him whilst praying over the city and asking bands of angels to raise up a canopy of praise, banishing any threats. Somehow it became safe and I was able to do a few songs as though perfoming; suddenly I knew beyond knowing that it was safe to praise Him openly and without reservation. How wonderful that we can have this kind of open praise and worship in our own country; how often do we do it by rote, not really thinking about what we are doing. Think of it as a privilege!

What a privilege we have to openly bring You praise and worship in public!
