1 Peter 3:17-18, For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong. There is real temptation to avoid suffering by giving in to temptation. This can happen with simple, seemingly meaningless, common situations and cause my conscience to be seared. How will I rise to the call of the “big occasion;” if my daily habits don’t support doing what’s right? He can open my eyes to see those habits that need to change.
Open my eyes to my habits that need to be changed, Lord; give me the power to overcome habits that block me from Your best.
