The unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 4:1-6, I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

Paul did not consider himself to be a prisoner of his enemies, but a prisoner of the Lord. I am in a particular place assigned by me to the Lord. He has put me in a place where I have a divine responsibility to bring Him glory. Unfortunately, I often do not exhibit humility, gentleness and patience with the situations that I face. I know that I want to do better, to face every situation knowing that He is in control, and seek to bring glory to His name with the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Give me the wisdom and strength for each day, to consider others before myself; to bring glory to Your name in every situation, with the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
