Lights in the world.

Philippians 2:14-15, Do all things without grumbling or disputing; that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world…

It seems to be a bad habit among many people today to complain to others about someone else. I even have brothers who complain about some offense. Scripture makes it clear that when we are offended that we should take it up privately with the one who offended us; it’s much easier to take it up with someone who can’t do anything about it, though. How might our world change if we took this simple step?

Give me courage to believe the scriptures when it comes to grumbling and disputes and to seek first to resolve it with the one who has offended me!
