For the coming of the Lord is at hand.

James 5:7-8, Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

We see this amazing miracle of the seed all around us in nature; it’s so commonplace that we lose the significance. Give a child a bean seed to plant to recapture it! The soil is prepared, the bean planted and watered, in the right light, and the child will tell you nothing is happening. Then one day, the soil begins to show signs and the amazing double leaves uncurl! He wants us to be like the farmer, planting the seed at the right time, and providing the right conditions so that He can bring forth His amazing fruit at the right time
