James 2:17-20, Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. But someone may well say, “You have faith, and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?

It’s not that we are climbing a “Stairway to Heaven.” It’s that when we come to Him, by faith, He gives us a new birth. We are given the opportunity be transformed by the power of God, to have a new mind of Christ. Our faith has an expression, born of God. How might He express Himself in my life today?

Lord, I do believe; let me show my faith by my works, not for the recognition of others, but to bring glory to Your name.
