We who have believed enter that rest.

Hebrews 4:1-3, THEREFORE, let us fear lest, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it. For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard. For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, “AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST,” although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.

We have as an example those led by amazing miracles out of bondage, to the very edge of the Promised Land. Even after all the great things God had done, the believed the report of the majority of those sent that even God would not be able to deliver His promise. We have His promise of hope, confirmed by the blood of sacrifice on the cross and the resurrection from the dead by Jesus Christ; what more do we need?

We thank You for Your promises to us fulfilled in Jesus Christ and for the faith to enter Your rest!
