Precious blood.
1 Peter 1:17-19, And if you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each man’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay upon earth; knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
These are not popular ideas in a culture like ours. Bumper stickers proclaim “No Fear,” people advertise themselves as gods and people stand up and demand that God prove Himself real by immediately striking them dead. The very idea that blood is required is offensive to many in our so-called enlightened age. Jesus has done something that no one else can do, He has redeemed us by His blood. Even the most substantial things of this life are ultimately of no value; He is of infinite value to those who come to Him in faith, by the power of His blood.
We receive Your amazing gift of grace by the power of Your blood of sacrifice, Lord Jesus.
