The Lord is near.
Philippians 4:4-5, Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your forbearing spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
Perhaps I could find it easier to have the forbearing spirit that is known to those around me if I did rejoice more. It’s been a month of distractions by the cares of the world; it’s certainly a wonderful week to think about all the reasons that I have to rejoice. And at the top of that list is the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ who went willingly to the cross, taking upon the sins of the world, rising to new life to take us with Him! It should be even easier when we remember that the Lord is near; He is not very far from every one of us.
We rejoice in the good news You bring to us; thank You for forgiving us and cleansing us!
