Trying to learn.

Ephesians 5:7-9, Therefore do not be partakers with them; for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.

I’m very glad that this says “trying to learn,” for it is far too easy for me to be distracted by the things of the world. Obviously it’s much better to stay in His light, and to bring forth the fruit of His light, “goodness and righteousness and truth.”

We thank You for Your grace and mercy, for reminding us to stay in the light and forgiving us when we fail.
