And he started off.

John 4:49-50, Jesus therefore said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you simply will not believe.” The royal official said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he started off.”

This challenge from Jesus was taken up by the royal official. He took the challenge of faith, and believed in Jesus before seeing signs and wonders. His belief showed immediately in taking that first step after he believed what Jesus had done. Are we ready to believe, to take a first step or are we waiting for signs and wonders?

Thank You for the gift of faith that enables us to take the first step by faith in You and in all that You have done, Lord Jesus.
