The joy set before Him.

Hebrews 12:1-2, THEREFORE, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The world around us seems to be under assault at every turn. We are challenged to keep our eyes upon Jesus, who came not to condemn the world, but to save it. The world has always been under assault, we are to be filled with His Spirit and empowered to be a part of His plan to save all who are His own. What joy is there before us today?

We thank You for the joy, the peace that passes understanding, that sets us free to love and serve You as part of Your amazing plan to save the world!
