Jesus … withdrew again.

John 6:15, Jesus therefore perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force, to make Him king, withdrew again to the mountain by Himself alone.

Jesus turned towards the cross in withdrawing. While prayer isn’t mentioned here, there are numerous times that He withdrew to a lonely place to pray, to spend time with the Father. What if I was more willing to take His attitude, to spend time with the Father instead of moving ahead with what seems best in my own eyes?

Thank You for Your protection; remind me to withdraw to a lonely place more often.
