Suffer for my name.
August 26, 2006, Suffer for my name.
Acts 9:16, "I will show him how much he must suffer for my name."
This isn't a popular idea; it's more popular to talk about the abundant life in Christ, or some kind of temporal blessing for those who come to Him. Scripture is clear that Jesus had no beauty or majesty, and that He was despised and rejected. And we know that Jesus "set His face like a flint" on the way to the cross as He came towards Jerusalem. What am I willing to suffer for His name?
Lord, I know that I need Your help to comprehend Your ways; for Your ways are not my ways! Lead and guide me, Father.
