The face of an angel.
Acts 6:15, And fixing their gaze on him, all who were sitting in the Council saw his face like the face of an angel.
One would think that Stephen’s face would convince his accusers that they ought to listen. Instead, they became enraged by Stephen’s testimony and his beautiful encapsulation of the scripture showing that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the promise of God to Abraham. We also should not be surprised, for indeed "no one can come unless the Father draws him." He is the bread that came down out of heaven; He has water that becomes in us a well springing up to eternal life!
We need Your strength for this day; open the eyes of those who we meet, draw them unto Yourself; thank You for Your promise that You will raise us up on the last day!
