The Spirit Himself intercedes for us.

Romans 8:26-27, And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Let’s see, He has done everything that we need for salvation in the finished work of the cross, no one can come to Him unless the Father draws him, and He is our assurance of our salvation. Now, even in prayer, we don’t really know how to pray as we ought to pray! Fortunately, His Holy Spirit, the Helper, is there for us interceding before the throne of grace. When we pray, what a freedom we have, for He can translate our feeble requests into something wonderful!

Search my heart today; convict me of sin; cleanse my heart and fill me with Your wisdom, O Lord!
