Freed from sin and enslaved to God.
Romans 6:22-23, But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Paul calls us “children of wrath,” and it doesn’t take much imagination to see what he means; just turn on the nightly news, if you can stand to watch it. The wages of sin is painfully obvious, there is no doubt about the fallen nature of our world. We who have come to Christ, who have received Him, who have seen His great light are now His beneficiaries; when God looks at us, He sees Jesus. And He welcomes us to our eternal inheritance!
Show us those people You want to touch with your grace and mercy, Lord Jesus; thank You for using us in Your great commission.
