As even some of your own poets have said.

Acts 17:27, “for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His offspring.’”

Paul gives us this marvelous model of his Athenian ministry and evangelism; he obviously had studied their literature well enough to be able to quote their own poets! How many of us so insulate ourselves from the world that we can no longer communicate? One of my favorite teachers reads and watches movies voraciously, that he might glean points of contact with our culture. We are to be in the world, not of the world; perhaps He can help us to relate better to the multitudes in our day who are without hope, that some may come to know Him!

Lead us and protect us as we seek to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to those in our culture who have abandoned all hope.
