Keep His commandments.

1 John 2:3, And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.

One of my teachers once remarked that if this seems easy, perhaps it’s because we don’t know His commandments! Indeed, we are constantly reminded that we need to depend upon Him, our Advocate, for we fail often. John goes on to tell us that when we abide in Him, we walk as He walked. Are we seeking to walk in His steps today?

We need Your guidance and Your power; help us to stay in Your light, to turn quickly when we stray, to follow You, to keep Your commandments, Lord Jesus.
