This is the victory.

1 John 5:2-5, By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. And who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

John wants us to keep it really simple, just as the song says: "Faith is the victory that overcomes the world." The world view of His commandments is that they are burdensome and impossible, and without Him indeed they are impossible. With Him, all things are possible!

We thank You for the gift of faith, for the power to keep Your commandments, and for going before us today to accomplish Your good will in this world.
