Christ redeemed us.

Galatians 3:13-14, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE” — in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Christ came in the flesh for this purpose: to hang on a tree, the cross, to bless all who receive Him and to redeem us from the curse of the law. It wasn’t just that He came to live the perfect life, to show us how to pray or how to heal; He came to make good on the promise to Abraham and to adopt us. He returned to the Father giving us His promise that we would not be left as orphans, that He would send us His Holy Spirit. And it is by grace, through faith, that we receive Him and are welcomed into His blessings!

We thank You for this season where we remember all that You have done and long for Your swift return; help us to be faithful in carrying forth Your plan, Your good news to our sin sick world.
