Beyond reproach.
Titus 2:6-8, Likewise urge the young men to be sensible; in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach, in order that the opponent may be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.
Paul is applying this to the young men, but I see nothing that would limit this advice to apply only to young men. It’s great advice for us all, especially in this day where there are so many contentious people, attempting to define what people of faith are allowed to say or do in the public forum. Rather than getting drawn into a confrontation, perhaps we can simply go about our lives of faith in the purity of Christ?
We thank You that even though You lived a perfect life, that You were willing to go all the way to the cross for us, Lord Jesus.
