No one was found worthy to open the book.

Revelation 5:4-5, And I began to weep greatly, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look into it; and one of the elders said to me, “Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals.”

We see a tremendous longing that John had to know what was in this book, and his lament that no one was found worthy to look into it, including himself. That frustration gives way to hope as the angel tells him that indeed there is One who is worthy, who has overcome and who will open the book. We look to Him, to the Lion of Judah, the Root of David for all that we are and ever shall be!
