Do not be afraid.
Revelation 1:17-18, And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as a dead man. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.”
The closest thing I can imagine would be to turn a corner on a mountain trail and come face to face with a Grizzly bear! Certainly, that would indeed be the best thing to do, to fall as a dead man. It’s unlikely that the bear would exhibit the same compassion! Jesus reaches out to strengthen us with His right hand, and encourages us “Do not be afraid.” Whatever He is calling us to do, He is making His power available to us that we need not fear!
Thank You for Your power to do what You call us to do!
