By their deeds they deny Him.
Titus 1:15-16, To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient, and worthless for any good deed.
Even in Paul's day, there were those who had their own selfish agenda in the church. He advocated the elders of the church not only to provide sound teaching, but to be ready to refute those who contradict it. In the short term, that may be unpleasant, but it is essential to see that the good news of Jesus Christ is proclaimed!
Give us discernment in a time when those who deny Christ by their deeds; let us proclaim His good news in thought, word and deed!
