Into the way of peace.
Luke 1:76-79, “And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go on BEFORE THE LORD TO PREPARE HIS WAYS; to give to His people the knowledge of salvation by the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the Sunrise from on high shall visit us, TO SHINE UPON THOSE WHO SIT IN DARKNESS AND THE SHADOW OF DEATH, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
John had a special place, as the one who prepared the way of the Lord. We who live in the light are in a special place as well, for we know the significance of the cross. And He has not left us as orphans, He has sent His Holy Spirit to guide us and give us wisdom, to lead us in the path that He has for us today. We have this incredible light of Christ, we can bring it into this world still full of darkness that others may come to know Him!
Give us opportunities to bring Your light into the dark places of this world that others may know You, Lord Jesus.
