Dominion.
Psalm 119:133, Establish my footsteps in Thy word, and do not let any iniquity have dominion over me.
A former missionary friend of mine, now in his eighties, commented on this wonderful psalm, that every verse glorifies God’s amazing word. We who live in this time and this place are so blessed to have instant access in print, computer and even the marvelous Internet! Another friend just returned from a short term mission trip to Kenya and was astonished that the children there know scripture and are able to quote it from memory! Perhaps we are missing out on something wonderful by not memorizing scripture more than we do?
We give thanks for the marvelous gift of memory; fill our mind with Your word that we may honor You and give dominion to Your word!
