For a fourth of the day.
Nehemiah 9:3, While they stood in their place, they read from the book of the law of the LORD their God for a fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the LORD their God.
We hear people complain if the church service goes a few minutes over the expected time! What could happen if we stood and read from the book of the law fourth of the day, and then confessed and worshiped for another fourth? Some of the stadium events that I have been to like Promise Keepers have done this, with amazing results!
We thank You for Your inspired word, so readily available to us; shine Your light on us as we confess our faults before You and worship You!
