They cleansed the rooms.
Nehemiah 13:9, Then I gave an order and they cleansed the rooms; and I returned there the utensils of the house of God with the grain offerings and the frankincense.
We see this early cleansing of the house of God, a Holy room that had been turned into a robber.s den, storing up what rightfully belonged to the Levites. Nehemiah prefigures Christ, in driving out the moneychangers of his day. In Christ, we are blessed to be His Holy temple; are we in need of cleansing?
Bring Your Holy light into any dark rooms of our lives that need Your cleansing; Lord Jesus, bring Your cleansing into those places.
