Effective service … many adversaries.

1 Corinthians 16:9, for a wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.

Paul doesn’t seem surprised or even offer comment on the fact that opposition came along with the opportunities. He seems to take it all in stride! How easy it is for us to see opportunities and decide that opposition must mean that it isn’t God’s will? When we seek His guidance, and see Him open wide doors, are we also able to see Him glorified in adversity?

We seek Your direction, guidance and strength do what You are calling us to do, O Lord.
