God is not a God of confusion.
1 Corinthians 14:31-33, For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all may be exhorted; and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets; for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
Clearly Paul viewed the gathering of believers something valuable, beneficial and uplifting. We come together to worship, pray and to help each other in our daily walk. Clearly the highest calling is to be attentive to those who are bringing the message; it is up to us to be not only hearers of the word but doers of what we hear. It's like the old story about the new preacher who got up ever week and preached the same sermon, someone finally asked him when he was going to move on to another topic and his reply was "as soon as you start doing what I am preaching!"
Lord, help us to put into practice what we hear from Your word.
