The women who had come with Him.

Luke 23:55-56, Now the women who had come with Him out of Galilee followed after, and saw the tomb and how His body was laid. And they returned and prepared spices and perfumes. And on the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.

We know that Peter denied Him, and even those who responded to His call "Follow me," had disappeared. Only Joseph of Arimathea was bold enough to ask for the right to His body, and only the women bold enough to see where He was entombed. How appropriate that they would indeed be the first witnesses to the wonderful truth of the good news, that “He is risen!”

Give us this kind of boldness, to be Your witnesses, to have faith that You will do what You have promised to do. Thank You that You still love us even when we are not bold and try to disappear!
