Stop weeping for Me.
Luke 23:27-28, And there were following Him a great multitude of the people, and of women who were mourning and lamenting Him. But Jesus turning to them said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, stop weeping for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children."
We know that Jesus wept over the city only a few days before, wanting to gather them together "as a hen gathers her brood under her wings." And yet even in their rejection, His plan is more wonderful than anything man could ever invent. Even though things don’t always look like it, we know what happens, and we know that the day is coming when His chosen nation will once again recognize Him, saying "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!"
Thank You for loving us, for rescuing us; we long to sing this song when we see You face to face!
