Before I suffer.
Luke 22:15, And He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;"
One of my friends mentioned that many times coming to Christ is portrayed as a solution to all our problems, the mention of suffering is somehow not considered a part of "good news." Indeed, we don’t have to go looking for it, and we might consider that if Jesus suffered, so might we. Paul tells us that he wanted to know Christ not only to be filled with His Spirit, but to share in His suffering and to be "conformed to His death." His ways are indeed above our ways, His thoughts above our thoughts.
We seek to know You better, we thank You that You promise to be with us no matter what happens, O Lord!
