The last, first.
Matthew 19:30, "But many who are first will be last; and the last, first."
Jesus reminds us of the temporary nature of our worldly possessions in these verses. Indeed, some are blinded by riches, thinking that they are able to do anything because of worldly wealth. I was reading about people who go into the wilderness who are in the habit of ignoring our civil laws thinking that they can get away with ignoring natural law. While we might get away with ignoring the speed limit, it's not wise to ignore the guidelines of hiking in Grizzly country. We are all ultimately accountable spiritually; let's seek His wisdom in everything we do.
Lead and guide us in all that we do, that we may be used for Your glory.
