Ascending to Jerusalem.
Luke 19:28, And after He had said these things, He was going on ahead, ascending to Jerusalem.
Jesus knew very well what He would face, that as in the previous parable He was a ruler hated by the citizens. We know that He "set His face like a flint," in order to go into what lay ahead and that He was not distracted even by the crowds crying "Hosanna." We know that He prayed even in the garden that the Father might "remove this cup," and that He was willing to submit to the Father's will. We are blessed eternally by His faithfulness, may we also be found faithful.
We give You thanks for Your passion to rescue us, Lord Jesus; may we be faithful in all that You call us to do.
