All the people were hanging on His words.

Luke 19:47-48, And He was teaching daily in the temple; but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to destroy Him, and they could not find anything that they might do, for all the people were hanging upon His words.

Jesus knew that there was great opposition to Him from the leaders of that day, and yet He was faithful to bring His message to the people. We know that the leaders were afraid to do anything about Him publicly because of His popularity with the people, and He was betrayed in darkness and secrecy. When we encounter opposition, are we willing to press on as He did?

Help us to be faithful in what You call us to do, even in the face of fierce opposition.
