Martha welcomed Him into her home.
Luke 10:38, Now as they were traveling along, He entered a certain village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.
We all know the outcome of this story, but here we see that it was indeed Martha who initially welcomed Jesus into her home. Without this welcome, we don't know whether Mary would have even had the chance to sit at Jesus feet! Many of us have the tendency to become very busy as did Martha, perhaps missing out on the best. There's no reason why we can’t be more inviting as was Martha, and then remember what’s really important, to sit at Jesus feet!
Come, Lord Jesus, we invite You, we welcome Your Holy Spirit whom You have sent us; instruct us in Your ways as we sit at Your feet.
