The wise and intelligent.

Luke 10:21, At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, "I praise Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou didst hide these things from the wise and intelligent and didst reveal them to babes. Yes, Father, for thus it was well-pleasing in Thy sight."

We place great value on learning and education in our culture. Believers in Jesus are today made out by the "wise and intelligent" to be simpletons having no intellectual capacity. Perhaps it's because the more we know, the more we know that we don’t know, for His wisdom is far beyond anything mortal man will ever conceive. What is truly amazing is that he departed His glory and came to rescue us! Perhaps those who are wise in the ways of the world will yet have their eyes opened to His glory.
