But seek for His kingdom.

Luke 12:29-31, "And do not seek what you shall eat, and what you shall drink, and do not keep worrying. For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. But seek for His kingdom, and these things shall be added to you."

We've all been through the ringer of worry, I know that there were things I worried about decades ago, and today I cannot remember what they were. Oh, I can think of a few, but they never happened! We seem to find things without much encouragement to worry about, and perhaps that comes with age. He wants us to look to Him, to “seek for His kingdom.” Jesus was very clear about this, what right do I have to worry? And what could I accomplish in converting that worry time to prayer?

Thank You for reminding me that You are in charge, that I can seek first Your kingdom knowing that You will provide!
