Peace be to this house.
Luke 10:5-6, "And whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace be to this house.' And if a man of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him; but if not, it will return to you."
What a wonderful model of ministry, finding a "man of peace." I recently went to a Missions conference, and this same method is being used with wonderful results today in Muslim communities. When we seek to do ministry, too often we are putting our own agenda up front; perhaps we could begin by offering a blessing of peace?
Bless us as peacemakers, for "they shall be called Sons of God!"
